Making space for stories to be told, held and heard
Memoir and Life Story
Everyone has a story, but not everyone knows how to tell it.
I work with individuals to shape personal stories into something that can be held, shared, and remembered — whether that’s for family, publication, or simply for the process itself.
I offer both memoir coaching and ghostwriting, depending on the level of support you need.
- Memoir coaching
For those who want to write their own story but would value guidance, structure and honest feedback along the way. I’ll help you find a starting point, shape your material, and keep the process moving. - Ghostwriting
For those who would prefer to speak their story rather than write it. Through conversation, I’ll work with you to capture your voice and experiences, shaping them into a written piece that feels true to you - I have experience of working with sensitive and personal material, including stories that carry emotional weight. The work is approached with care, respect and clear boundaries. I am also a trauma informed practitioner.
If you’re thinking about telling your story, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
What it might look like
Often, it starts with a conversation.
You might have a clear idea of what you want to write, or just a sense that there’s something you’d like to put into words. We talk it through, and begin to find a way in.
From there, we shape a process that works for you — whether that’s supporting you as you write, or working together to build your story through conversation.
There’s no rush, and no expectation to get it “right” straight away. We take it one step at a time.
Testimonials
We got in touch with Lea to work with Dad, who has dementia, so it wasn’t straightforward. She was patient, kind and gentle in her approach, and brought out an abundance of stories we thought might be lost.
We were all thrilled — but not as much as Dad. She gave him back a real sense of dignity and self-esteem, and we now have the lasting legacy of his stories.
We can’t praise Lea enough. - Zena Diggle, daughter of client.
I playfully refer to Lea as my “book mummy.” Mine was a difficult story to tell, and before I met her I had only managed the first page. I’m also dyslexic, which knocked my confidence.
With Lea’s encouragement, patience and humour, I went on to complete a whole book — and even launched it at Crime Con.
I honestly can’t thank her enough. Her support and expertise are invaluable. - Paul Smith 'From Gangs to Gourmet.' Memoir client
